Alasdair Gold, Football.London’s Tottenham Hotspur correspondent, believes midfielder Tanguy Ndombele can be a game-changer for the club when he returns to fitness.
The France international has struggled to complete the 90 minutes, managing to do so just five times in all competitions.
Under the management of Jose Mourinho, he has played the full game just once, in the 2-2 draw with Norwich City in December.
Asked in a Q&A by a Spurs fan about the midfielder’s fitness, Gold believes that Ndombele can become a huge star in north London once he is fully up to speed.

He said: “His body is clearly still trying to catch up with his rise and that’s what we’re seeing now.
“Mourinho is a big fan of Ndombele and he knows that if he can get him to the fitness levels he requires and stop him being so brittle then he’s got a game-changing Premier League star on his hands.”
Gold has explained that Ndombele has been placed on a specialist fitness regime in a bid to bring the best out of him.
Already this season, he has scored twice and also registered two assists, while averaging a rating of 6.86 in the Premier League and 7.46 in the Champions League.
It remains to be seen if he will get up to speed before the end of the Premier League season but if Gold is right, Spurs fans could be in for a treat next term.
Meanwhile, Spurs could have signed this striker in January!
